Mill Levy Community Advocacy Group

The Mill Levy Community Advocacy Group campaigns for the improvement of existing health-related services through Mill Levy funding.

Between 2014 and 2016, ACCESS, through the Mill Levy Community Advocacy Group, advocated for a Memorandum of Understanding between Bernalillo County and UNM Hospital in preparation for the November 2016 election. These efforts held UNM Hospital accountable to utilize the nearly $100 million in taxpayer money it receives each year to address the healthcare needs of the community.
Additionally, these efforts were successful in expanding funding for Pathways over the current 8-year Mill Levy cycle (2017-2025). The Mill Levy Community Advocacy Group is now focusing its efforts on the next Mill Levy vote in November 2024, which will address the upcoming 2025-2033 Mill Levy cycle.
